Evan Weiss

I am a third year PhD student @ The Laboratory for Neural Engineering and Control at Columbia Universtiy advised by Dr. Qi Wang

My current training is in biomedical engineering specifically in the world of brain-machine interfaces. I am interested in advancing our understanding of neurotechnology, utilizing cutting edge software and devices to unlock the neural mechanisms behind cognition and neurological diseases. Overall, my research goals are diverse, but are currently focused on understanding how the activation and inhbition of different neuromodulatory systems can control and influence neural oscillations.
